Pillsbury showed movies for his lectures which included the X-Ray Motion Picture Camera in October of 1928. The timing tells us he had invented the camera and made the movie in a matter of weeks or months. Ken Caldwell sent this to me some time ago. LINK - Berkeley Historical Society
